Vietnamese Heritage Museum is dedicating resources to oral history to gather, preserve and interpret the voices and memories of Vietnamese people, communities, and participants in past events. Oral history is both the oldest type of historical inquiry, predating the written word, and one of the most modern, initiated with tape recorders in the 1940s and now using 21st-century digital technologies. We have started our initial research by posting online video links from YouTube, Vimeo or other internet media to create centralized one source internet library/list for our online visitors. In near future our museum will conduct, produce and publish our own interviews and other formats to build our growing oral history online library.
Copyrights of all existing online sources belong to their authors and VHM is not claiming any ownership of these materials.
